In Juillac Le Coq, the terroir on which is located our family estate since 1860, the “Domaine Du Foucaudat”, gives our “eaux-de-vie” the prestigious Cognac Grande Champagne appellation, a token of fineness and aromatic complexity. The secret of our most refined Cognac lies in the uniqueness of this land which we always considered as our most precious treasure.
The PASQUINET art of living is about making the savoring of the finest delicacies become exceptional moments, to be shared with special people. As such, Cognac tasting is an art to be perceived as a voyage of the senses where the marks of time get revealed through a succession of aromas and gustatory sensations, letting the taster have a glimmering of the personality of this exceptional product and of the people who crafted it.
For four generations our family perpetuates the art of making the Cognac PASQUINET, an authentic and ancestral know-how transmitted with passion from father to son. Each generation has been led by a creative essence and a deep admiration for its land, giving PASQUINET Cognac a timeless and inimitable strength.
Born on the 23rd of January 1906 in the Eastern Pyrenees region, Jean was a dynamic entrepreneur when he first arrived in the Cognac area, in charge of renovation projects for several Cognac makers. He soon felt an unconditional passion for the art of making Cognac and decided to invest in a small estate in Juillac Le Coq, the “Domaine Du Foucaudat”, where he perfected his distiller skills during many years.
After World War II, in 1945 the two children of Jean RICARD were in age to take over the familly business. They created PASQUINET Cognac trademark as a symbol of strength and revival after an extremely difficult period. This new Cognac rapidly met succes on the market, which led Gilbert and Jeannette to build a significant bottling plant near the family estate in order to be able to supply a fast growing market in France and Europe.
Before he took over the family business in 1985, Patrick started his career as a fine antiques and art trader. His creative talents and meticulous attention to detail strongly influenced the spirit of PASQUINET Cognac, giving it an artistic and timeless dimension.
